The subject of the work is a replacement of slide gates with a hydraulic drive for slide gates DU 500-100-EP with a servo-drive.
This replacement was related with the modification of coal containers and improvement of their throughput, addition of passive elements, lining with stainless steel, anti-abrasive ceramic spraying, refurbishment and addition of pulse nozzles, including the production of new hoppers and parts of the chain conveyor.
The work was carried out during a very short shutdown.
The capacity of the coal container of the K6 boiler in Power Plant Opatovice is approximately 500 m3 of fuel, followed by two hoppers. Possible fuel arching is prevented by a combination of 112 Myrlen-type air pulse nozzles and newly designed and supplied passive elements.
