TRANSPORTA Technology completed and handed over the project “Reinforcement of the existing OK KOCH 400 pipe conveyor “realized for the company ČEZ, a.s. at Tušimice power plant.
In the early 1990s, the KOCH 400 pipe conveyor for transporting slag, fly ash and gypsum from the power plant was built. It was needed to reinforce its steel structures between support 4 and 5.
The reinforcement consisted of welding external and internal reinforcing steel profiles onto critical places according to static calculations. The reason for this measure was the large distance between the supports. Without the reinforcement, unwanted bending of the supporting steel construction of the pipe conveyor could have occurred.
